Zhang Lie is among the top ten outstanding conductors of Chinese orchestra in China. His conducting style is delicate yet profound, and passionate. He will be performing with Dai Ya, dubbed as the “Dizi King of Beijing”, who is an eminent Chinese music player and a master well known and loved by Macao fans.
Among the repertoire are: Flying Apsaras, from 6th movement of the Chinese symphony Dunhuang, an ethereal piece, full of romantic fantasy; Carnival Dance, an inspiring work with rich, exotic Xiyu-style dance music, winner of the Original Award at the Shanghai Spring International Music Festival; lastly, Li Feng, principal Zhonghu of the Macao Chinese Orchestra, will give a wonderful performance of Macao Rhapsody No. 3, a work commissioned by the Orchestra.
