The 2024-25 season is like a magnificent scroll of ethnic music, highlighting the diversity and depth of Chinese music. The closing concert, led by Director Zhang Lei, is reflecting the richness of Chinese wisdom and artistic creativity. The national symphonic poem “Farewell My Concubine” is based on Chinese historical themes and elements of Peking Opera, creating a memorable chapter. The “The Art of War” suite allows fans to travel through time and space with the sound of the music. Also, Yangqin Associate Professor Liu Yinxuan will perform the highly difficult Yangqin concerto “Rhapsody”. The orchestral piece “Impression of Macao”, showcases the vitality of the orchestra.
