With profound artistic insights to create an East-meets-West musical style with rich individuality, internationally renowned conductor Tsung Yeh has successful brought Chinese music into the international arena with a stellar performance. In the season closing concert, Maestro Yeh will direct the Macao Chinese Orchestra to present two large symphonic classics, namely the popular symphonic poems Battle of the Red Cliff and Dream of Red Chamber Suite (excerpt). The concert will also feature Wu Bixia, a multi-awards winning coloratura soprano who blends bel canto and Chinese folk singing. Known as “the Nightingale of China and the West”, she never fails to dazzle international audiences.
